The Enchanted Isles of Uist

There is always a feeling of exhilaration as the ferry draws close to the Outer Hebrides. Brooding skies, craggy islets together with endless shoreline wait to be explored; and for the most part in perfect solitude. My destination are the islands known as the Uists; North Uist, Benbecula and South Uist. Linked by a series of causeways that form part of an archipelago often referred to as the heart of wild Scotland.
