Moments in time

Living in the Suffolk countryside I’m fortunate to be surrounded by a patchwork of fields, meandering streams and agricultural land that provides a veritable oasis for wildlife. It’s a complex series of habitats just waiting to be discovered.

Most of the images selected in the galleries are taken no more than a short journey from home. From owls nesting along the hedgerow, rutting deer in the woods or the slow glide of swans along the water meadow at the break of day; it’s a constant journey of wonder in which you always can expect the unexpected.

Further afield one of my favourite locations are the magical isles of the Outer Hebrides. Each is unique with it’s own distinct character and beauty, not least of which is the Isle of Uist that keeps pulling me back as the years pass by.

But no matter where you live or the journey you undertake, there can be no greater satisfaction than studying a location, investing the time and, when the planets align you’re rewarded with that fleeting moment that leaves you breathless. It’s a feeling that belies my passion for wildlife and nature photography.
