Welcome to my site @bearprintsphotography. I am a wildlife and outdoor photographer from England, based in the heart of rural Suffolk. From a young age I have combined my passion for photography together with an enduring love of nature and the great outdoors. I believe a connection with the natural world can reveal a profound and intimate sense of wonder. It is a feeling I strive for in my photography; capturing moments along this winding journey where every image has a story to tell.
Portfolios
All the images featured in my portfolios are moments taken from my wildlife adventures. Most are captured in the patchwork of fields and diverse habitats close to home in the Suffolk countryside. With good local access and familiarity some of the most rewarding projects I've worked on have literally been on my "doorstep".
About
Happiness defines my photography. The natural world is incredibly benevolent, and for me it is all about being in that most precious space. I like to think that some of that emotion is conveyed in my images. To capture a fleeting moment which connects to a wider audience, and to share that magical sense of wonder.
The printed image is the photographer's grand finale. The capture of a fleeting moment, expression and feeling which can never be faithfully reproduced on the digital screen. Patience and careful observation can often reveal moments which might otherwise pass unnoticed. Nature follows its own distinct rhythm and cannot be hurried. Some of my most rewarding images you will discover across my site are the culmination of weeks, and often many months, simply watching and waiting.
