Shadows on the Dark Peak
The “Dark Peak” is famed for its desolate and exposed tracts of moorland situated along the Pennine Way. It’s a location where mountain hares roam but as their white coats offer perfect camouflage in the snow they are particularly hard to spot. This image was captured in mid winter after a particularly heavy snowfall. It was Highly commended in the British Wildlife Photography Awards (BWPA) 2018 and featured in their annual compendium published by the Ammonite press.
This image forms part of an open edition run of prints which are signed together with a certificate of authenticity. It is printed on Permajet AlphaNatural Rag 310 (GSM), which is a fine art inkjet paper with a smooth matt surface and natural white base. The print is 29.7 X 29.7cm in size with a 10mm border for the purpose of mounting.
